OK and to be honest, it was more like ‘What the heck am I doing here?’. The early days were exciting and scary at the same time. I was instantly confronted with situations for which no training course (could) ever prepare me. Like the happy little accident at the daylight saving time changeover. Being a first-time manager is tough, especially when imagination meets reality. Based on real-life examples I will describe the challenges and I share my leadership tips and tricks with you.
